Vintage is way more than clothing, there is a vast market for vintage furniture. Not quite yet antique, but definitely not made yesterday either. Traditionally when “Vintage” comes to mind you get images of fashion and interiors from the 50’s, through the 80’s. This set from What next is kinda awesome, the animations are so well done and the typewriter is adorable. It makes really good typing sounds when you click it. Both the chair and the desk are loaded with animations and pretty much all is texture change, too!
Vintage Fair 2012 runs from August 4 through August 29, is organized by Chic Management and proudly sponsored by Aura, Belleza, Cheeky Pea, coldLogic, Gizza Creations, Indyra Originals, PurpleMoon Creations, oOo Studio and Trompe l’Oeil
This pretty little greenhouse is the newest addition to Funky Junk‘s building collection. With a land impact of 33, it’s perfect for small plot where you just want a little retreat. Just one heads up… don’t get scared when you open the door. It sounds more like the door to a castle’s dungeon than to a greenhouse 😀
I have decorated the greenhouse with Funky Junk plants (lower pic), trees from Deco and Ivy from Nocc (middle pic) and the Hampton table and chairs from What Next (upper pic). Also (somewhat) visible in the middle pic is the planter shelf and some other decorations from iTutu.
The 3rd builder/creator I will cover of this month’s Collabor88 is Isla Gealach from Cheeky Pea. I just need to have every C88 item she releases, because I will eventually find a use for it. Always! Besides, it’s every time a great deal, whether it is a full living room, or like this month, the Crosswinds Gazebo stage. It may be because I can’t sing, and even less play the guitar, but I didn’t have an audience today. Regardless I had lots of fun playing with the animations and the lights in this gazebo stage!!
Another creator who never disappoints at Collabor88 is Mr. Barnesworth Anubis. This month he has released a pretty Palm Springs Cottage. Good old prim work, so no mesh viewer needed! You can either buy it unfurnished or furninshed, but either way, It’s a great deal.
For the decoration of the cottage, I used the furniture that Barnesworth has out at Collabor88, as well as some pieces of his Mullholland House furniture pack.
Cory Edo of Trompe l’ Oeil has done it again. For June’s edition of Collabor88 she has released this mesh, furnished, skybox where Mr. Draper would feel right at home.
If you have never been before to Collabor88 , you are missing out every month on some great furniture and builds from some of SL’s finest creators!
Also, if you don’t have the space for this skybox, but still want some retro touches to your interior, Ms Edo has released the living room and dining room furniture separately in a LOT of different colors. Below you see the white three cushion seat and the pearl artichoke lamps, because I just simply love white furniture!
This beautiful day bed full of poses is new at fromThe Loft at FaMESHed. With its soft greys and beiges it’s easy combined in any interior. I have used a very minimalistic set up here with a linen rug from Y’s house and Trompe l’Oeil‘s Flying Bird Display.

Gosh, the set up of Chic Management’s 2nd birthday event is SO awesome! All the designers have done they very best to make their booth look amazing. Seriously, even if you can keep your L$ in your pocket like a boss, go to take a look when it opens on June 3, because wow, it’s just looking great!! Keira and the other people involved in Chic, congratulations on making Chic the best event organisator of SL!!
One of the merchants in the event is Post. With their incredible builds, they are always impressing me. This early 20th century inspired set is pretty epic again.
Chic2 is opening on June 3 and runs through June 24. Chic’s actual birthday is on June 2. Keep an eye on the Chic blog for landmarks once it opens.
Circa is a new to me brand but I’m glad that Cherelle Capra contacted me with her because they really have some awesome decorations on sale. Plants, terraria, aquaria, flowers and much more, and it all looks just adorable!
You will find Circa (sister brand of C&D Designs) on plot B at Dreamseeker Home Expo sim 14, sponsored by Dream Seeker Estates. Click on the map below for a SLurl to sim14.
